Thank you to everyone that attended the Lloyd's Under 30's Non-Marine Spring Party on Thursday 21st May. Thanks to the fabulous attendance not only were we able to provide our nominated charity for the evening St Mungo's with £500 but also The Stroke Association for who committee member Katie Cupman ran the London marathon. Through the support of the Lloyd's U30's community we are proud to support the Stroke Association. Your generosity has gone towards stroke research. Currently the Association is involved in pioneering thrombolysing treatment, which maybe when it’s developed further, through donations like ours, will have better success and recovery rates in the future. Through the support of the Lloyd’s U30's community for our fund raising events, the Under 30’s Non-Marine Group is proud to support:The Lloyd's Under 30s Non-Marine Group is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to make a number of charitable donations each year. Through door receipts from the events that we hold we raise funds and the majority of this money is donated to charity. Any surplus is reinvested for future events. These donations can be roughly sub-divided into three areas: support for local charities; support for individuals within the Lloyd's community who seek sponsorship for a challenge or task; and support for specific causes on a case by case basis. For details of money donated please see the links above. If you have any suggestion for worthy charities that you feel Lloyd's Non-Marine Under 30s could be supporting, please do not hesitate to contact the committee. |
